Join you Fellow Rotarians in supporting the 2026 Lowcountry Buddy Walk in Support of the Down Syndrome Association. The Rotary Club of Daniel Island will be supporting the “Walk PEP Team” from 2:30–3:30 p.m. This fun role involves lining the parade route and cheering on individuals with Down syndrome and their families as they complete the walk. We encourage volunteers to dress up and make it festive—the goal is simply to bring lots of energy and encouragement!
If we get enough signups we have also discussed supporting their new “PEP Team sub-role”. Which would involve small groups stationed at turns along the one-mile route to help guide families in the right direction. We thought each group could bring balloons, a Bluetooth speaker or anything else that keeps the energy high as everyone passes. This role would likely run from approximately 2:45–4:00 p.m.
